"Fosforo is an audiovisual work born from the exploration of noise and graphic elements of a cathode ray tube television that's not receiving a signal. The visual material was created by exploiting the inherent characteristics of light, the screen, and the camera itself: varying the exposure time to achieve a flicker effect, distorting the image by filming through a glass sphere, and stressing the TV pixels with a powerful magnet. The sound, on the other hand, blends the mechanical and electrical noises of the television with soundscapes and natural elements, in an attempt to guide the gaze toward a correlation between the external, tangible world and the abstract one projected by the electron beam onto the phosphors of the cathode ray tube."
